The Imperial French Army Faction is one
of Europe's finest all-round elite forces, with legendary melee units such as the feared Turcos, while also enjoying the extended firing range of the Chassepot rifle, making this army a perfect starting point if you're new to the period.
The Royal Prussian Army is the versatile backbone of the German Coalition. Fast-paced infantry tactics supported by effective usage of this army's strong artillery will win the day simply by speed and concentrated firepower.
The Republican French Army Faction relies on its ability to spawn disruptive Francs-Tireurs units, deploying deep behind enemy lines, while key heroes and a few drilled officers are needed to motivate the many fresh recruits.
The Royal Bavarian Army is the smaller contingent of the German Coalition, but in no means incapable. Expert field medics will help to keep an on-table presence, as your infantry, boosted with veterans, will secure the tactical objectives needed for the win.
The Imperial Austrian Army is a what-if faction, which was heavily flirted by Napoleon III. Boasting some of Europe's finest cavalry along side an elite artillery park, Austria will rely on dash and tactical experience - perhaps a faction for more seasoned players.
